Dear Mr. Lofton,
Please accept my thanks for your contributions to the current exhibit of paintings in my New York office. This show is a great success and we are fortunate to be able to display it. Your work has been particularly well received. I was especially drawn to the oil entitled, “Urban Image”, which is one of the most expressive cityscapes I have ever seen.
I recognize the frustrations and difficulties which many talented artists like you have experienced in dealing with the New York “art establishment”. I hope to continue to make space available in the future for this kind of exhibition, and to extend overdue recognition through this medium of exposure to you and other artists who so clearly deserve it.
Thank you again for lending us your work and for giving all of us the opportunity to enjoy it.
With warm regards,
Sincerely,
Robert F. Kennedy
